Ongoing Vigils
- Adirondack Friends Meeting holds a regular monthly gathering on the fourth Tuesday of every month, beginning at 7:00 P.M.. “Praying for Peace” is an unprogrammed meeting for worship, focusing on shining peace and Light in the all areas and people in our world. - Albany Friends Meeting, in conjunction with Peace Action and others, has had a vigil in front of the State Capitol in Albany every Wednesday since September 2001 from noon to 1:00 P.M.
- Alfred Monthly Meeting holds a peace vigil every Wednesday from noon to 12:30 P.M. at Main and Church Streets.
- Bulls Head-Oswego’s membership is far-flung, but members participate in local vigils in the Hudson Valley and elsewhere. We participated in the global candlelight vigil on March 16 and met in continued worship afterward.
- Cornwall Monthly Meeting’s meetinghouse is open Thursdays at 7:00 P.M. for worship with a concern for peace.
- Fifteenth Street Monthly Meeting’s peace vigil is held the first Sunday of each month, Washington Square arch, 1:00 P.M.
- Hamilton Monthly Meeting hosts a gathering for peace every Saturday morning from 11 A.M. to noon on the Village Green in Hamilton, N.Y.
- New Brunswick Monthly Meeting supports a weekly vigil sponsored by the Central Jersey Coalition against Endless War, every Saturday 11:15 A.M.–12:30 P.M., in Highland Park, N.J., at Route 27 and the Albany Street Bridge (alongside the Raritan River).
- New Paltz Monthly Meeting Peace and Justice Concerns Committee joins with other groups every Saturday from 12:30-1:30 P.M. at the corners of Main and North Front Streets in New Paltz.
- Rockland Peace Coalition holds a peace vigil Saturdays from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the northwest corner of Rt. 59 and Middletown Rd., Nanuet, N.Y.
- Saratoga Monthly Meeting Friends and others participate in a peace vigil every Saturday 12:00–1:00 P.M. at the post office, Broadway and Church St.
- Shrewsbury Monthly Meeting holds a weekly Witness for Peace from 11:30 A.M. to noon every Sunday on the corner of Route 35 and Sycamore Avenue, Shrewsbury, N.J. All are invited to join.
