Invest in Children, Youth, and Young Adults
NYYM is investing in Young Friends. Will you invest with us?
In April 2026, NYYM received an anonymous donation of stock. The YM sold the stock for approximately $100,000 and invested the funds in Friends Fiduciary’s Quaker Growth and Income Fund.
The donor did not provide restrictions on the use of the money, but did express support for programs for children and youth. At Summer Sessions, in line with the donor's interest, NYYM approved creating the “Children, Youth, and Young Adults Fund.” Distributions from this fund to the operating budget will help cover CCYA expenses.
However, this donation is not enough to cover all the costs of the CYYA program. NYYM now seeks additional donations of all sizes to help build the investment fund and support this work. The CYYA program supports Friends in welcoming children and developing curriculum, hosts monthly worship sharing for young adults, and supports the leadings of young adults and their growth in community, among other things. With your help in supporting this fund, NYYM could do even more.
If you would like to donate to the Children, Youth, and Young Adults Fund, there are several ways to do so. Personal checks and checks that are qualified charitable contributions should be made out to: New York Yearly Meeting with “CYYA investment fund" on the memo line, and mailed to 15 Rutherford Place, New York, NY 10003. If you wish to transfer securities for this purpose, contact Albert Hsu, the Financial Clerk of Trustees, at [email protected].
Or click here to make a donation by credit card. Please note that NYYM will have to pay a 3% fee if you choose to donate by credit card. There is an option for you to donate that 3% if this is the easiest option for you.
