In an interview, Kathy Slattery reflected on the intersection of eldership and healing during her 18 years as co-coordinator and greeter at FGC Gathering’s Healing Center. I grew up when elders were formally appointed, although that was changing because eldering had become very judgmental and harsh. We realize now the need for eldering as gentle counsel.
