Fall Sessions for 2011 will be held November 11–13 at the Doane Stuart School in Rensselaer, NY (Saturday), and at Powell House in Old Chatham, NY (Friday evening and Sunday morning).
Northeastern Regional Meeting welcomes you to Fall Sessions, which carry on the business of the Yearly Meeting between our annual Summer Sessions. The attendance and involvement of Friends from all monthly meetings ensures that the wisdom of a variety of Friends will be brought to our business sessions, and that the decisions made there will be reported back to the meetings.
Our weekend will begin with fellowship at 7:30 p.m. at Powell House in Old Chatham, NY.
On Saturday, we will gather at the Doane Stuart School. Directions to the school are below.
Meals: Coffee, tea, and bagels will be available Saturday morning in the school cafeteria. Meals on Saturday will be at the Doane Stuart School and on Sunday at Powell House. See prices on the registration form.
Hospitality: On the registration form you may request hospitality with local Friends for Friday and/or Saturday night. Indicate your special needs for food. Hospitality cannot be guaranteed after the registration deadline. Friends who prefer to stay in a hotel or motel will find a list of those in the area below.
Friends may also stay at Powell House. PoHo is offering discount rates: $60, 1 person; $30, 2nd person in same room; $10 for each additional person in same room. There is no additional charge for the second night. Friends can register online at www.powellhouse.org or by calling Sharon Koomler at 518-794-8811. Friday’s supper is $15. Breakfasts will be $5. Sunday lunch is $15. Let Sharon know which meals you would like when registering at Powell House.
Childcare will be available. Parents are responsible for their children during mealtimes. Please indicate your childcare needs on the registration form.
Registration:
To register online, fill out the registration form, save it with a new file name, and e-mail it to Helen Garay Toppins at office [at] nyym.org. You may pay your registrations fees by using PayPal, clicking the “Buy Now” button below. If you use PayPal please add a $3 service charge.
To register by mail, fill out the form, print it, and mail it to NYYM, 15 Rutherford Pl., New York NY 10003. You may either mail your check to NYYM with your registration form or use PayPal, as described above.
Meeting & Display Space: Requests to reserve committee meeting and display space should be directed to Regina Baird Haag, haagrb [at] yahoo.com. Please reserve by the November 1 deadline.

Driving Directions to Doane Stuart School, 199 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, NY 12144
From the West: take I-90 east through Albany across the Hudson River. Then immediately take exit 7 (Washington Ave.). At the top of the ramp go right & proceed two blocks. Just past the school, at the light, turn right and then left into the parking lot.
From the South: take exit 23 off I-87. Then follow I-787 north to I-90 east. Go over the Hudson River and follow directions from the west.
From the North: take I-87 south to I-90 east and proceed with directions from the west.
From the East and Powell House: take I-90 west to exit 8. At the first light go left on Washington Ave. Follow Washington Ave. until crossing over I-90, then follow directions from the west.
